Text :	The Office of the Fulton County District Attorney is seeking a Director of Community Affairs. The Community Affairs Department represents the District Attorney at Community forums, neighborhood planning unit meetings, senior citizen events, meetings with elected officials and a variety of other functions. The department also serves as a primary liaison with the community and oversees a variety of crime prevention programs. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: coordinating special events and projects, scheduling the District Attorney’s public appearances and overseeing the daily calendar. The Community Affairs Department works closely with the Public Affairs Department to respond to media inquiries, to organize news conferences and to prepare news releases. You must also possess the following skills: the ability to communicate, interact with coworkers and the public, to adhere to deadline driven tasks and to conduct in-depth research. This position often requires working outside of normal business hours and some weekend activities. The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in communications, business, public administration or a closely related field and at least four (4) years of experience in public relations.
